Relegation Candidates Remaining Games

In looking now at the Relegation scenario, it really is pick 'em among the last 5 and I add in Birmingham because they've had a run of sucess but they could also run into a slump at the wrong time. Believe me too, goal differential is now playing a major part as well. Only one goal in fact, separates Blackpool in the safety zone and Wigan in the drop zone.

15. Birmingham City 38 GD -17
Wolverhampton
@Newcastle
Fulham
@Tottenham
Birmingham could easily get no wins or draws in the final 4 games. Were of course routed at the Kop, 5-0.

16. Blackburn 35 GD -14
Man City
Bolton
@ West Ham
Man Utd.
@ Wolverhampton
 Games against 2 stragglers are crucial.

17. Blackpool 34 GD -22
Stoke City
@Tottenham
Bolton
@Man Utd
A somewhat formidable schedule, Blackpool could easily end up with very few points in these last 4 games.

18. Wigan 34 GD -23
Everton
@ Aston Villa
West Ham
@ Stoke City
Wigan likewise need points.

19. Wolverhampton 33 GD -20
@ Birmingham City
West Brom
@Sunderland
Blackburn Rovers
This schedule would seem to give the Wolves a fighting chance to stay up.

20. West Ham 32 GD -22
@ Man City
Blackburn Rovers
@ Wigan
 Sunderland
WHU virtually need at least 7 or more points to stay up. So in the end, it's pick 'em, whomever you like, we'll see. Wigan certainly collapsed against Sunderland on Saturday who were overdue for a win. GD meaning goal differential. Formatting buttons are not showing up but this table will work as an overview. I think there may well be one team that will miss the safe zone only by a point.
