NHL This Year.

How erratic these teams are, a team can go on a road trip and lose all of it's games practically and still with an 82, 84 game season bounce back.

I made the forecast that one thing you can count on are the Leafs, Toronto making it back into the playoffs, they are playing well and that other Big 6 CanadiEn team seem to be having problems. The Redwings and The Bruins?? Even?? Check out the conference standings. In some ways, the play of these teams is as shocking as the EPL has been lately with Man Utd. losing big to City and Chelsea dropping two straight games.

Edmonton in first place in the Northwest, 7 wins, you can't argue that, same as Colorado. It's still very early in the season, around 10% of the games played or less so we will see.

Ottawa Senators to defeat the Wild

Looking at the CBS NHL power rankings and talking about their battle back against the Red Wings and Maple Leafs of all teams only to lose and with the Senators playing at home, I think they are going to do it. I'm firmly behind the Wild but they dropped one to the Islanders though from what I hear did not play too poorly. I pick the Senators and they will go 1-2, same as Minnesota.

The other game is Florida Panthers at Pittsburgh Penguins, I've got to think the Penguins will take that game.

Oh, and it was a real thrill to watch on the NHL network, the Winnepeg team score their first goal vs. Montreal in the 3rd period, the scoring line is a bit misleading. That made it 2-1 and the crowd went wild but then, Montreal scored 3 goals after that for a final win of 5-1 but the Jets were close up to that point. Not all that bad.
